“Witnesses of Jesus the Christ”
In a world where authority is constantly questioned and truth is often relative, we're reminded of the most powerful testimony ever given: that Jesus Christ is exactly who He claimed to be. This message takes us through John chapter 5, where Jesus presents not just His own words, but four compelling witnesses that validate His identity as the Messiah. John the Baptist testified, calling Him the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The miraculous works Jesus performed—healing the lame, raising the dead, calming storms—testified to His divine authority. God the Father Himself spoke from heaven, declaring 'This is my beloved Son.' And perhaps most powerfully, the Scriptures throughout the Old Testament pointed forward to His coming. What makes this particularly relevant for us today is that we face the same choice those religious leaders faced: will we submit ourselves to Christ's authority, or will we expect Him to conform to ours? The evidence is overwhelming, yet many still refuse to believe. We're challenged to search the Scriptures ourselves, to see how they all point to Jesus, and to become witnesses who testify of Him to a world desperately in need of the truth. The question isn't whether there's enough evidence—it's whether we're willing to believe it and share it with others.
