Wednesday Night
This powerful study from 1 Corinthians 3 challenges us to examine the true nature of spiritual maturity and church ministry. We're presented with three vivid pictures: the church as a family where the goal is maturity, as a field where the goal is quantity, and as a temple where the goal is quality. The message confronts our tendency to focus on human leaders rather than on Christ Himself. Just as children progress from milk to solid food, we're called to move beyond spiritual infancy into mature faith that feeds on the deeper truths of God's Word. The passage exposes our childish tendencies to create divisions, to compare ourselves with others, and to glory in human achievements. Instead, we're reminded that all growth comes from God alone. Whether we're planting, watering, or harvesting in God's field, we're simply servants working together for His glory. This study calls us to evaluate our spiritual diet, our unity with other believers, and our motives for service. Are we building with materials that will endure the fire of God's judgment, or are we using wood, hay, and stubble that will burn away? The ultimate question becomes: are we seeking the praise of men or the 'well done' from our Master?
