Sunday Morning

At the heart of this powerful message lies the remarkable story of Caleb from Joshua chapter 14, a man who refused to let age define his faith or limit his vision. At 85 years old, Caleb boldly declared 'give me this mountain,' demonstrating that our greatest victories may still lie ahead of us regardless of our circumstances or season of life. The message challenges us to examine how we see ourselves—are we viewing ourselves as grasshoppers, weak and insignificant, or as the champions God declares us to be? The ten spies who brought back a negative report saw themselves as grasshoppers, and consequently, that's exactly how their enemies saw them too. This profound truth reminds us that the way we perceive ourselves directly influences how we're perceived by the challenges we face. Caleb maintained three essential qualities throughout his 45-year journey: a vigorous spirit that kept him strong and faithful, a visionary spirit that held onto God's promise through decades of waiting, and a victorious spirit that trusted in God's presence rather than his own strength. We're called to be 'can' people, not 'can't' people—to speak life over our families, our churches, and our futures. The question becomes intensely personal: what mountain stands before us today? What have we stopped trusting God for? Perhaps it's time to stand up with Caleb's confidence and declare, 'Give me this mountain,' knowing that with God's presence, we can drive out whatever giants stand in our way.
